An Evaluation Within Databases of The Anatolian University Libraries Consortium
The main purpose of this poster is to discuss the concept of pricing of information sources, the reason for its emergence and its meaning for Turkey as a developing country and university libraries in Turkey. The main library co-operation organization of the provide for university and Research libraries in Turkey, Anatolian University Libraries Consortium (ANKOS), who pay and subscribe for databases instead of a hundred fifteen members. And subscribed twenty five company with ANKOS.
ANKOS has 115 members and has 952 subscrition it paid 13.079.164 USD for all databases . A member paid average 113.732 USD and next years ANKOS will have 122 members. In 2007 The Scientific and Technical Research Council of Turkey Turkish Academic Network and Information Center (TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM) declared Turkish National Electronic Sources Academic License (TUBITAK EKUAL).
