The library layout adequacy of the laws and regulations
Patrons needs providing
Information’s accessibility is most important factor for successful scholastic work. University student requires for information to be qualitative and easy accessible. It depends from the placement of the libraries collection, it should be not only logically arranged, but it should correspond to definite standards. Shelves and tables should be arranged so that they correspond to standards and so that they are accessible for students. In the research the library of the University of Latvia, Faculty of Social Sciences is being examined; this library is arranged after newest standards. These standards are used in the libraries of the Republic of Latvia. We establish the standards of libraries arrangement in the Republic of Latvia and compared them with arrangement of the library of the University of Latvia, Faculty of the Social Sciences.
