Linda Ashcroft
Linda Ashcroft is Reader of Information Management at Liverpool Business School, Liverpool John Moores University, UK. She is active in IFLA and serves on the committee for the Library and Information Science Journal Section. Other experience includes the management of both Information and Public Relations for a national organisation and managing various funded research projects. Professional affiliations include CILIP (Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals).
She has developed special expertise in the research area of electronic resources, and publishes widely in the professional press. She presents papers at international conferences, has organised international conferences and has edited conference proceedings. Linda is active in IFLA and serves on the committee of the Section for Continuing Professional Development and Workplace Learning, previously served on the committee for the Library and Information Science Journals Section, and chaired the Continuing Professional Education Round Table. She also served two terms as Chair of BAILER (British Association for Information and Library Education and Research). Linda was also a member of the government advisory body on ‘Empowering the Learning Community’. She is an external examiner for Loughborough University and the University of Central England. Professional affiliations include CILIP(Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals) and the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
