Friederike Hansmann

Friederike Hansmann (24) is a student at the Department of Information of the Hamburg University of Applied Science since 2004. Her main interests are publishing and literature.

Born in Karlsruhe, she moved to Hamburg to study Library and Information Science at the University of Applied Sciences Hamburg. Her majors are management and culture and media. She has participated in a lot of projects like planning the implementation and logistics of the relocation for the Bucerius Law School Library and its 60.000 books, making a film and a newspaper about her home university and fitting out a school library.

She worked for the University Library Hamburg and currently works for an international children's fund (Plan International) where she is responsible for an archive containing 15.000 media items. Her main interest is literature. Two renowned German publishers released her first novel when she was 16 years old. At the moment she writes her dissertation about young German authors. After her graduation she will work for a literacy agency in Hamburg and for the Goethe-Institut in Stockholm until June 2008.
