Eva Hemmungs Wirtén

Eva Hemmungs Wirtén is currently Senior Lecturer and Director of Graduate Studies in Library- and Information Science and Associate Professor in Comparative Literature, at the Department of ALM, Uppsala University. Major grants received from FRN, Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation, The Swedish Tercentenary Foundation, STINT and The Swedish Research Council have resulted in a number of articles, book chapters, and conference papers as well as two peer-reviewed monographs on copyright and the public domain with one of North America’s largest University Presses.

Ph.D. in Comparative Literature, UU, June 2, 1998 (Visiting scholar at Duke University 94-95, 96-97), STINT (The Swedish Foundation for International Cooperation in Research and Higher Education) Post-doc at the Program in Cultural Studies and the School of Information and Library Science, The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill 2001-02, Swedish Research Council Postdoctoral Research Fellow, the Department of ALM, UU, 2002-06. Assistant Professor in Library- and Information Science with special emphasis on cultural policy research, The Swedish School of Library- and Information Science, University College Borås and Göteborg University 1999-2005. Associate Professor in Comparative Literature, UU, 2003. Major grants received from FRN (now the Swedish Research Council), Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation, The Swedish Tercentenary Foundation (repaid), STINT and The Swedish Research Council have resulted in a number of articles, book chapters, and conference papers as well as two peer-reviewed monographs on copyright and the public domain with one of North America’s largest University Presses.
