Claudia Lux

President (08/2007 - 08/2009) of IFLA (International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions). Professor Lux holds degrees in social sciences, librarianship and sinology. She is IFLA President and honorary professor at the Humboldt University in Berlin. She is also a member of the executive boards of IFLA, the German Libraries Association and a member of the IFLA National Committee. Professor Lux has diverse interests, including market and media research, library charges and retro conversion. She is publishing widely on the Chinese library system, managing library staff from different cultural backgrounds, outsourcing and virtual libraries.
